Beliefs and Values
What We Believe
We believe in one eternal God who is the creator of everything. He exists co-eternally as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human and is the only one who reconciles us to God. Jesus lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on a cross in our place, was buried and rose again in victory. His life, message, and resurrection empower us for Spirit-filled lives today.
The Church is the worldwide body of Christ on a mission to love and serve the world. We believe God has given each person unique gifts and callings that fit and work together, like a body, so that we can worship God, help the Church, and share Jesus with our community and with the world.
God created people with the purpose to know Him, but we have gone our own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to have a relationship with Him. Salvation comes only through God’s grace and must be received by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. God’s desire is to heal, transform, and fill us so that we can live healthy and Spirit-filled lives. In addition, every believer can also be filled with the Holy Spirit by asking God for the gift, as promised in scripture.
We believe the Bible is the word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our lives. The Bible is foundational for all we believe. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God.
What We Value
Everyone is significant – We endeavor to love people like God loves people. Everyone has purpose and a place.
We are contributors – We are here to serve, not be served. This is a community of opportunity, not a club.
God works in community – We don’t do life alone. Healthy relationships are at the heart of all we do.
Growth requires change – We embrace change as essential for personal and church community growth.
We look to celebrate – From big to small things, God is up to good and we take notice.
We live intentionally – We intentionally focus our time, money and energy to make it simple to find and follow Jesus.
