Tears are often misunderstood. We can cry tears of joy as well as tears of sadness. Compassion can bring tears as well as immense frustration. As our body processes emotions, tears have been known to flow which is why they’ve been called the “body’s release valve.” The heart of this series is to show that tears are a gift from God. And it’s important that we understand this element of the human dimension. In fact, Scripture says in Psalm 56:8, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” When we cry, regardless of the circumstance, God notices every tear. When we are vulnerable, He answers with His presence.
